December

For the month of December I have my new pen and ink drawings showing at Kingdom Inspiration Studio on 1008 Sophia Street, Fredericksburg,VA.

The Beginning

For the month of October one of my original paintings is on display and for sale in the Kingdom Inspiration Studio at 1008 Sophia St, Fredericksburg, VA 22401. If you are local or in the area, I invite you to visit the studio! The title of my original painting is "The Beginning."

Last Weekend

I had a wonderful opportunity to participate in a local art event called "Art Attack" this past Saturday! Many local artists were in downtown Fredericksburg painting, sculpting, dancing... May exhibit at Art First

A Fine Line

A new art exhibit at Fredericksburg Center for the Creative Arts has one of my pastels titled "Along Fifth Avenue" on display!  To see all works accepted in "A Fine Line" national juried  show click here. 

The jury talk is tonight at 6 pm at FCCA as a part of First Friday at downtown Fredericksburg, VA. I also have other works showing this month at Art First gallery and Backdoor galleries. I invite you to come and enjoy beautiful art in the "Burg" tonight!

Award Winning Painting

I am so excited to share the news that my painting "Eleven Steps" won First Place in the Belmont Portrayed art exhibit at Gari Melchers Home and Studio at Belmont!  The show is wonderful and if you have not visited Belmont, check it out before the show ends on April 17.  I am so happy that my two paintings in the show have found new homes!

Belmont Portrayed

I am excited to be one of the artist selected for the Belmont Portrayed exhibit.  The show is beautiful and if you happen to be in the Fredericksburg area make sure to visit Gary Melchers Home and Studio that is featuring this art show.

Gari Melchers wife, Corinne, left the entire estate to Virginia.  Belmont is an exciting place to be for anyone, especially an artist.

Eleven Steps

My painting depicts the main entrance to the Melchers' house at Belmont.  I was particularly inspired by the iron work that adorns the staircase.  In 2011, that iron work was identified as one of Virginia's top 10 endangered artifacts.  I could imagine Corinne Melchers standing at the top landing waiting for her guests.  There are eleven steps to the landing.

Seek and You Will Find

This painting is a depiction of the grounds at Belmont that has a stone pathway through a wooded area where there is a Gazebo. It is very pretty there when framed in the colors of the spring and fall.

Due to the weather, the artists and guest reception has been rescheduled to next Friday, January 29 from 6 to 8 pm. Stay warm!

This show opens on January 23rd and goes to April 17. On January 22nd there will be an artists reception from 6-8pm at Gary Melchers home and studio, everyone is welcome! I invite everyone to visit this beautiful place and see the art show. Visitors during the show will be able to vote for their favorite painting and I really hope it will be one of mine!
